Egida Group has held a strong position in the Kazakhstan security systems market for over twenty years. During this time, the company has grown from a small installation company to a large group with its own production facilities, branches, and partnerships in the CIS countries.

The company's development is the work of its founder and CEO, Viktor Viktorovich Gusev. He was born in 1977 in Kazakhstan. In 1997, he graduated from the Almaty Higher Technical School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and in 2000, from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The knowledge and practical experience gained allowed him to deeply understand the specifics of security and fire safety systems. In the early 2000s, the industry began to actively develop in the private sector, and in 2002, Viktor Gusev opened his own business, Egida Group.

In its early years, the company specialized in the installation and commissioning of security systems. However, it quickly became clear that sustainable growth required not only installing equipment but also establishing direct relationships with manufacturers and developing in-house production. The company began purchasing equipment directly from manufacturers, bypassing intermediaries, which allowed it to establish a sales division and expand its market presence. By 2004, Egida Group had become one of the ten largest companies in its industry in Kazakhstan.

Further development occurred in stages:

• 2006 — Creation of a design division and spin-off of the installation department into a separate company;

• 2008 — Launch of an in-house monitoring console and establishment of a company in the Russian Federation;

• 2009 — Development of a transport and logistics division;

• 2010 — Launch of in-house production;

• Since 2011 — Expansion of the branch network.

Today, the company has branches in Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktobe, and Shymkent, and the group of companies employs approximately 130 people.

Today, Egida Group is not only a supplier but also a manufacturer of security equipment. Its product range includes alarm systems, video surveillance, access control, messaging, power supplies, cable products, and integrated solutions. State-of-the-art technologies are used in production, including CNC machines, plasma cutting, stamping, powder coating, and other solutions. The company monitors global trends and implements new technologies, regularly updating its product line.

Receiving government support was a significant milestone in the company's development. From 2023 to 2025, the company took advantage of support measures under the National Entrepreneurship Development Project for 2021–2025. With the support of the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Almaty Region through Bereke Bank, the company received subsidies. The funds were used to replenish working capital and purchase raw materials for production—sheet metal, fire extinguishing agents, and other components. This allowed the company to reduce its debt burden, increase production volumes, speed up order fulfillment, and gradually increase its share of in-house production, reducing its dependence on imports. "Previously, production was mostly assembly-line.

Today, we manufacture more and more components ourselves, and this share is constantly growing," notes Viktor Gusev. As the company develops, it delves deeper into technological processes, develops its own engineering solutions, and in some cases proposes initiatives to improve industry standards. "Our equipment must be as reliable as possible, because it's about people's safety," he emphasizes.

Developing production allows for better control over product lifespans, expanding warranties, and simplifying service maintenance. At the same time, the product line is expanding: in addition to gas fire suppression systems, the company is actively developing solutions for water and foam fire suppression.

Today, its products are supplied not only to the Kazakhstan market but also to the CIS countries. In the coming years, Egida Group plans to at least double its production volumes, master new technologies, and expand its distribution geography.

Despite the scale of its business, Viktor Gusev remains committed to simple principles: "The main principle is not to deceive. Then you won't be deceived." He advises aspiring entrepreneurs to take action: "When a person works and develops, opportunities gradually appear," he says.

The story of Egida Group is an example of how professionalism, persistence, and a systematic approach can create a sustainable and competitive business.
