Kamalieva Alfiya Gataevna is an entrepreneur from the city of Aktobe and the founder of the Ravioli Aktobe brand. Her story is an example of how hard work, perseverance, and government support can transform a home-based activity into a successful and growing business.

Alfiya Gataevna is a lawyer by education and originally comes from the city of Uralsk. She began her entrepreneurial journey in 2019 while on maternity leave. It was during this time that her passion for baking became the first step toward creating her own business. She started by baking at home and taking small customer orders. In the same year, her family moved from Astana to Aktobe, where a new stage in the development of the business began. Understanding the importance of promotion and education, Alfiya Gataevna actively developed her skills: she independently studied targeted advertising, began conducting baking training courses through Instagram, developed around 200 original recipes, and gradually built her own customer base.

In 2021, after returning from maternity leave, Alfiya Gataevna went back to her main job; however, after only four months, she decided to dedicate herself fully to entrepreneurship. Despite the risks and lack of stability, she chose to focus on developing her own business.

The first step was opening a small production facility and forming a team of two employees. Within a few months, the staff increased to four people, and by the time the enterprise officially opened, the number of employees had reached 12. Today, the company employs around 20 people.

The development of the business was not easy. During the first year and a half, the enterprise operated at a loss, requiring work under heavy financial pressure and the use of borrowed funds. The family handled product deliveries themselves because they did not own a vehicle. Nevertheless, even during difficult times, Alfiya Gataevna adhered to the principle of paying employees’ salaries on time, believing that respect for the team and teamwork are the foundation of a sustainable business.

An important milestone was the decision to sell the family car in order to purchase their own 18-square-meter premises. This helped strengthen the company’s position and created conditions for further expansion of production.

The company continued to develop actively: in 2022, a new direction — doner preparation — was introduced, and in 2023, the production of set lunches was launched. To ensure high product quality, the company uses raw materials supplied from the West Kazakhstan Region.

Government support also played a significant role in the company’s further development. Kamalieva IE received financing from JSC “Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan” with the support of the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund under the “Orleu” program. The funds received were directed toward purchasing premises and expanding the company’s operations.

Today, Ravioli Aktobe is a growing business that provides jobs for residents of Aktobe and offers high-quality products to its customers. Alfiya Gataevna’s story is an example of how entrepreneurial initiative, responsibility, and government support help create a sustainable and socially significant business.

According to Alfiya Gataevna:

“The most important thing in business is the team and dedication to your team. Only together can we overcome any difficulties and achieve results.”
