A new production complex for the repair and maintenance of passenger railcars — the “Digital Depot” — has officially been launched in the city of Kyzylorda. The implementation of this project marks an important step in the development of the region’s transport and logistics infrastructure, as well as Kazakhstan’s railway industry.

The Kyzylorda region holds a strategically important position along the international transport corridor “Western Europe – Western China,” contributing to the growth of the region’s transport and logistics potential. More than 1,000 kilometers of main railway lines pass through the territory of the region.

The project was initiated by Maral-Nur LLP, one of the leading railway passenger transportation companies in the Kyzylorda region. The company provides high-quality services on socially significant passenger routes within the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently, the company operates intercity routes connecting Kyzylorda–Pavlodar and Zhezkazgan–Astana.

The company places special emphasis on passenger comfort and safety by maintaining rolling stock in proper condition and regularly carrying out technical maintenance and modernization of railcars. Passengers are provided with clean and comfortable compartment and platzkart railcars equipped with air conditioners, microwave ovens, and refrigerators. Special attention is also given to service quality and staff training.

In order to expand its operations and improve the quality of passenger railcar maintenance services, Maral-Nur LLP implemented a project for the construction of the modern “Digital Depot” complex in Kyzylorda. The new production facility will enhance the efficiency of maintenance services and strengthen the company’s production capacity.

As part of the project implementation, a portion of the financing was provided with the support of the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund through an interest rate subsidy program. The government support contributed to the successful implementation of the project and the company’s further development.

The new production complex will enable the maintenance and repair of more than 600 passenger railcars annually. The project also предусматривает the creation of more than 100 new jobs, making a significant contribution to employment in the city of Kyzylorda and to the further development of the region’s industrial potential.
