The story of entrepreneur Nurlan Berdiyev is a clear example of how deep knowledge of the local market and adherence to the principle of “being useful” can transform an ambitious idea into a highly demanded tourism product.

In 2024, Nurlan Berdiyev launched the “Dala Resort” recreation base project, drawing on nearly 20 years of experience in wholesale trade. Over the years in business, he gained a deep understanding of the market and customer needs, which became the foundation for his transition into the tourism sector. The idea for the project emerged amid growing demand for comfortable, year-round recreation in the Turkestan region, where there was a shortage of quality family-oriented tourism facilities.

“Dala Resort” was created with a clear understanding of the region’s demand for affordable leisure close to home. According to the entrepreneur, residents previously had to travel long distances to find comfortable conditions, and the goal of the project is to change this situation. The uniqueness of the complex lies in the “nature + service” concept: a natural river on the territory creates an atmosphere of seclusion, while cottages and a heated swimming pool ensure comfortable year-round recreation, making the project attractive in any season.

Scaling a business in the tourism sector requires significant investment, especially at the stage of constructing engineering infrastructure. Here, the entrepreneur received support from the “Damu” Fund. Through the interest rate subsidization mechanism, the financial burden on the project was significantly reduced: out of the 19.75% annual rate set by ForteBank JSC, 9.75% is subsidized by the state through the “Damu” Fund. This made it possible to focus resources on completing construction, developing infrastructure, and improving the quality of services provided.

Today, around 15 employees work at “Dala Resort.” Nurlan Abdiqaimovich notes: “Success comes to those who are not afraid to start, who constantly develop, and who never stop at what they have achieved.” In the coming years, the project plans to expand and introduce new services, aiming to strengthen its position and become one of the leading tourism complexes in the region.
