LLP “Astana Electrotechnical Plant” (AETP) stands today as one of Kazakhstan’s leading manufacturers of electrical equipment — a symbol of industrial resilience, technological progress, and entrepreneurial vision. From its earliest days, the company has been driven by a clear mission: to ensure reliable and efficient power supply for the country’s growing industrial, civil, and infrastructure sectors.

The story of AETP began over 12 years ago with a small but determined team of just nine people — mechanics, welders, electricians, and one entrepreneur who wore multiple hats at once: estimator, procurement manager, and director. With limited стартовый капитал and a modest 400-square-meter rented workshop, they laid the foundation for what would become a major industrial enterprise. Their first products — complete transformer substations and power transformers in metal enclosures — quickly proved востребованными in the market.

In 2012, the company entered a new chapter, rebranding as the Astana Electrotechnical Plant and steadily expanding its capabilities. Its product line grew to include a wide range of transformer substations (KTP, KTPN, KTPG, BKTP, 2KTPG, 2BKTP), manufactured in metal, sandwich-panel, and concrete enclosures. Responding to increasing demand, the plant further broadened its production in 2016, launching input-distribution devices (VRU), high-voltage switchgear units (KSO), low-voltage assemblies (NKU), distribution cabinets (ShchO-70), and other electrical panel solutions.

Today, AETP is a modern industrial complex covering 15,500 square meters and employing more than 250 highly skilled professionals. With over 2,600 successfully completed projects, the company delivers high-tech solutions for both civil and industrial facilities, offering full-cycle services — from design to installation — for electrical systems ranging from 0.4 kV to 110 kV.

The plant’s products are widely used across key sectors of the economy, including housing construction, energy, mining, industry, and agriculture. Among its partners are some of Kazakhstan’s most prominent companies, such as BI Group, BAZIS-A, SAT NS, Kazakhmys Group, AgromashHolding KZ, and KAZ Minerals — a testament to the trust and reputation AETP has earned.

In 2023 and 2024, the company obtained loan financing through JSC ForteBank to support its activities in the production of electrical distribution and control equipment. The company also received support from JSC Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund aimed at reducing the interest rate from 21% to 8% under the National Project for Entrepreneurship Development for 2021–2025.

In 2025, the enterprise additionally benefited from the Guarantee Fund No. 1 instrument provided by JSC Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund, which enabled the company to attract additional financing, expand its production capacity, increase output volumes, and ensure the sustainable growth and further development of the enterprise.

Actively contributing to the modernization of Kazakhstan’s energy system, AETP continues to expand its product portfolio and implement cutting-edge solutions, aligning its operations with international standards of quality and safety. The company remains committed to innovation, sustainability, and the reliable energy future of the country.
