The story of YASSI is a vivid example of how bold decisions, hard work, and government support can transform a small business into a modern manufacturing enterprise.

The company's founder, Said Bektaev, began his entrepreneurial journey in 2015 by reselling furniture. Over the following years, he gained a deep understanding of the market, customer preferences, and the specifics of the furniture industry. However, the real turning point came in 2020.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, furniture supplies nearly came to a halt. Instead of waiting for the market to recover, the entrepreneur made a strategic decision to launch his own manufacturing business. This marked the beginning of YASSI, a company that now produces high-quality domestically made tables and chairs.

Starting with an investment of approximately KZT 1 million and a team of just two employees, the company gradually expanded its production capacity, improved its technologies, and enhanced product quality. Quality soon became YASSI's key competitive advantage, earning the trust and loyalty of its customers.

Over the past few years, the company has achieved remarkable growth. The workforce has expanded from 2 to 30 employees, while revenue has increased nearly tenfold. Another important milestone was entering online marketplaces, which significantly broadened the company's sales geography.

The road to success was not without challenges. Limited financial resources and the shortage of qualified specialists were among the company's biggest obstacles. To support its further growth, YASSI took advantage of government support programs offered by the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund.Through an interest rate subsidy program and a government-backed loan guarantee, the company was able to purchase modern equipment, manufacturing machinery, and a Gazelle cargo vehicle. These investments significantly increased its production capacity.

The results were immediate. Following the government support, production volume tripled, the company strengthened its market position, and continued its rapid growth.

Today, YASSI products are sold in cities across Kazakhstan. The company continues to expand its product range and increase production volumes while remaining committed to its core values—quality, integrity, and customer trust.

Over the next two years, YASSI has set ambitious goals: launching a full-cycle furniture factory, increasing its workforce to 200 employees, and further expanding its product portfolio.

The company's founder believes that success comes to those who are willing to take action:

"Don't be afraid to start small. If you become better every day than you were yesterday, great results will surely follow."

The story of YASSI demonstrates that even during difficult times, a crisis can become a starting point for growth. It also shows how the effective use of government support measures enables entrepreneurs to expand manufacturing, strengthen local industry, and create new jobs in Kazakhstan.
