In 2025, a new industrial enterprise, Northern Pipe Plant LLP, was established in Northern Kazakhstan. The company set itself an ambitious goal: to develop domestic production of construction materials and provide the region with high-quality products for construction and municipal infrastructure.

The project required significant financing. Under the government business support programme «ISKER AYMAK», the company obtained financing at an annual interest rate of 22%. With the participation of Damu Fund, the cost of financing was reduced through an interest rate subsidy of 8.8 percentage points. In addition, Damu Fund provided a guarantee under the Guarantee Fund 1 programme, enabling the company to secure the required amount of financing.

Today, Northern Pipe Plant is a modern, diversified manufacturing enterprise primarily focused on producing products for the construction and municipal sectors.

The company’s key production line is PE-100 polyethylene pipes for water supply and gas pipelines. Six production lines enable the manufacture of pipes ranging from 20 to 1,200 mm in diameter, with an annual production capacity of approximately 32,000 tonnes.

The enterprise also manufactures steel pipes with polyurethane foam thermal insulation, polyethylene spiral-wound air ducts, metal roofing sheets, corrugated steel sheets, and metal sandwich panels.

This diverse product range enables the company to operate across several segments and meet the needs of the construction market. The combined annual capacity of the additional production lines amounts to approximately 60,000 metres of pipe products and 70,000 square metres of metal products.

The company’s products are already in demand in the North Kazakhstan, Akmola, and Kostanay regions. They are used in the implementation of construction and infrastructure projects, including projects carried out through public procurement.

The story of Northern Pipe Plant demonstrates how entrepreneurial initiative, investment in manufacturing, and government support instruments can come together to create a successful business project.

In a short period of time, the company has progressed from launching a new enterprise to establishing a large-scale manufacturing operation focused on producing domestic goods and meeting the needs of the regional market.

Projects like this create new production opportunities, strengthen the region’s industrial potential, and contribute to the development of domestic entrepreneurship.
