The story of entrepreneur Saule Tokayeva is an example of how the desire to create a comfortable space for recreation in nature can grow into a promising project in the tourism and hospitality sector.

In 2026, Saule Tokayeva launched the «TAU DASTAN» recreation area with the aim of creating a place where people can escape the hustle and bustle of the city, spend quality time with family and friends, and enjoy nature. Seeing the growing demand for comfortable leisure, the entrepreneur decided to turn her idea into reality. Today, the project employs 12 people, while the recreation area is already welcoming its first guests and building its own customer base. In the coming years, «TAU DASTAN» plans to expand its range of services, improve its infrastructure, and attract guests from different cities across Kazakhstan.

The name «TAU DASTAN» reflects the concept of the project: «TAU» means “mountain,” while «DASTAN» means “story” or “legend.” The recreation area combines comfort, closeness to nature, and a cozy atmosphere, creating a space for family and friendly gatherings where guests want to return for pleasant emotions and wonderful memories.

Creating «TAU DASTAN» required significant effort — from preparing the territory to building a team and establishing quality service. An important role in the implementation of the project was played by the support of the «Damu» Fund under the “Subsidizing Part of the Interest Rate” program within the framework of the Entrepreneurship Development Program, under the SME Support direction. Thanks to the Fund’s support, the entrepreneur was able to reduce the financial burden and allocate funds towards the development of the recreation area.

Today, Saule Tokayeva considers the successful realization of the «TAU DASTAN» idea and the opening of her own recreation facility to be her main achievement. The entrepreneur follows the principle: “A guest should leave us with positive emotions and a desire to come back again.”
