PVD.KZ develops polyethylene film and industrial packaging manufacturing in Kazakhstan. The company primarily focuses on the B2B segment, offering solutions tailored to specific products, equipment, and production processes. Its product range includes LDPE and HDPE film, Stretch Hood, FFS film, stretch and shrink film, bags, liners, labels, marking tape, and geosynthetic materials. The company’s history dates back to 1998. PVD.KZ was one of the first companies in Kazakhstan to develop shrink film production. Over the years, the company has built extensive experience working with major companies in the food and beverage industries, including Coca-Cola, RG Brands, Galanz Bottlers, and others.
In 2020, the company was acquired by Anuar Aitmagambetov. The new owner’s task was not only to maintain the existing production but also to adapt the business to changing market conditions. One of the factors influencing the company’s development strategy was competition from imported products. The Kazakh market offered low-cost film from Russia and Iran, prompting the company to move beyond standard shrink packaging and gradually develop more specialized products.
At the same time, the company began upgrading its equipment, improving its accounting and production management systems, and establishing a more systematic approach to manufacturing operations. As a result, PVD.KZ focused on more advanced polyethylene packaging solutions and wide-format products, where technical specifications, customized parameters, and compatibility with customers’ production lines are particularly important.Today, the company operates primarily in the B2B segment. When developing a product, PVD.KZ takes into account requirements for strength, flexibility, shrinkage, sealing, puncture resistance, and slip resistance. Before launching mass production, a reference sample is agreed upon with the customer.
This approach allows the company to manufacture packaging based on the specific characteristics of the customer’s product and equipment rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all solution. The company’s products are used across a range of industries, including food and beverage production, construction, oil and gas, agriculture, metallurgy, mining, and telecommunications.
Upgrading the company’s production equipment has made a significant contribution to its development. To finance the investment project, the company received support through the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund in Almaty Region from Nurleasing, a leasing company that is a subsidiary of Nurbank JSC.
According to Anuar Aitmagambetov, this mechanism made it possible to reduce the leasing financing rate. He also noted that the company plans to make use of Damu Fund programs for guarantees and subsidies in the future.
Following the equipment upgrade, the company significantly expanded its production capabilities. PVD.KZ began producing wide-format film up to 5×4 meters and large industrial bags up to 2×4 meters.Another key advantage is the production of large-format tubular polyethylene film. The film width can exceed 2 meters, while the circumference of the tubular film can reach almost 6 meters. This type of film is used in construction, agriculture, food production, and other industries.Large industrial bags are manufactured using automated production processes and can be used for packaging and transporting various products, including granular materials and industrial cargo.
Another important advantage is the company’s ability to customize packaging to meet specific customer requirements. Depending on the product and production line, PVD.KZ can adjust dimensions, material composition, thickness, printing, and other parameters.“For us, it is important not simply to manufacture film, but to understand where and how it will be used. That is why we tailor our products to the customer’s specific needs — their product, equipment, and production technology,” says Anuar Aitmagambetov, Director of PVD.KZ.PVD.KZ plans to further develop the production of multi-layer and specialty films, printed products, packaging for construction materials, and transport packaging film.
Further equipment modernization and expansion of production capacity through investment support instruments are also among the company’s priorities.Today, PVD.KZ’s key strengths include a broad product range, the ability to manufacture large-format and customized packaging, the flexibility to adapt products to customers’ equipment, and experience working with companies across a wide range of industries.
